Roast turkey on a platter
Ingredients:
- 1 turkey of 6-8 kg
- 120 g soft butter
- 3 oranges
- 1.5 liters of bird soup
- salt
- pepper
Preparation:
Clean the bird very well, cut the neck and remove the entrails, which are cut into small pieces.
Place the bird in the baking tray, with the chest facing up, fill with the chopped offal and grease with a mixture of butter, salt and pepper. Cover with aluminum foil.
Put 500 ml of soup in the pan and put it in the oven, watering the bird every 30 minutes with sauce from the pan. As the liquid in the vessel evaporates, add from the reserve.
After 2 hours of baking, remove the aluminum foil and put in the tray the three oranges, very well cleaned of the peel and white filaments.
Leave it in the oven for another two hours and then keep it out of the oven for 30 minutes, before cutting the turkey steak.
